Spring is coming, and it is the season for most people to buy flowers, including the lucky bamboo we grow, if it is suitable at this season. We can buy it and let it grow roots quickly, and it is also very good to put it indoors as an ornamental foliage plant. Most people use the hydroponic method to grow lucky bamboo. So how can we make it take root quickly when hydroponically grown, and how can we ensure that there will be no problems? For the lucky bamboo we just bought, the stems at the bottom are often a little shrunken and dry. This happens whether you buy it from the market or online. What we need to do is first pluck off most of its leaves, leaving only some tough and energetic leaves on the top. Then we cut off 10 to 20 centimeters of the bottom pole, directly to the position where it does not retract or shrink, and do this for all of them. After cutting it off, make sure there is an oblique opening at the bottom, then find a container, add water, and drop a few drops of rooting liquid into the water. Then put it in a well-ventilated place with some scattered light, and make sure the temperature is not lower than 15 degrees. In a week at most, small roots will slowly emerge from the stem. During the root growth period, it is best to change the water every 1 to 2 days . When changing the water, the water temperature should not be too high or too low. Just make sure it is close to the air temperature. Add a few drops of rooting liquid every time you change the water, so that you can see the roots grow better. In the future, we will appropriately reduce the frequency of changing water. When roots grow, we should add a few drops of nutrient solution when changing water to allow its roots to grow quickly. Gradually, it absorbs nutrients normally, ensuring that the leaves do not wilt or turn yellow. This is the fastest way to make lucky bamboo take root. When we grow lucky bamboo in water, we must remember that if the water is a little dirty, we should change the water in time and never let the water become dirty. If the maintenance water is dirty, the dirt will adhere to the roots, causing the roots to be unable to absorb nutrients, and it is inevitable that the leaves of the entire plant will turn yellow. Every time you change the water, it is best to add one or two drops of nutrient solution into the water to ensure that there are nutrients in the water for it to absorb and grow, so that there will be no problems with the lucky bamboo we raise. |
