Symptoms of Cataplexy

Damping-off disease often occurs after the seedlings emerge from the soil and before the true leaves unfold. The infected plants have dark water-soaked spots at the base of the young stems, which extend around the stems in the form of thin lines, causing the above-ground part of the seedlings to lose support and fall over.

Spray methyl thiophanate or Bordeaux mixture for prevention and control.

Stem rot

Stem rot symptoms

Stem rot will harm the base of the stem and the underground main lateral roots. The infected part is dark brown at first. After spreading around the base of the stem, it will cause the cortex to rot. The leaves above the ground will turn yellow and wilt. In severe cases, the whole plant will die.

Stem rot control

In the hot summer, you can provide shade, clean up diseased plants in time, or spray carbendazim to prevent stem rot.
