How to grow bamboo begonia flowers (potted bamboo begonia cultivation methods and precautions)

Bamboo Begonia is one of the flowers that is very suitable for planting indoors and on balconies. It is named Bamboo Begonia because its stems are obviously thick and bamboo-shaped.

The flowers of bamboo begonia are very beautiful, in clusters and clusters, and are very ornamental. Some people grow bamboo begonias very well. They often bloom all over the branches, and the flowering period is very long, and they can bloom for half a year. Many people are very envious.

Moreover, potted begonias are very suitable for decorating rooms and can be enjoyed in all seasons. Among them, bamboo begonias can grow relatively tall and can be placed in more ways. Let's talk about the cultivation methods and precautions of bamboo begonias.

First, reproduction:

The main method of propagation of Bamboo Begonia is cuttings. Cuttings are to select healthy branches, trim them into 10 cm with 2 to 4 leaves. After the wounds are dried, the branches are cut into freshwater river sand.

Water the soil thoroughly when it is dry. Spray the branches and leaves in the morning and evening to wet them. Generally, roots will start to grow in 15 days.

Second, plant in pots:

The soil for planting bamboo begonias should meet the following characteristics: loose and breathable, not compacted or waterlogged, slightly acidic and heavy fertilizer type. Bamboo begonias grow quickly, and the soil needs to have sufficient nutrients to meet their growth needs. It is recommended to use mixed soil.

Mix garden soil + river sand + humus soil in a ratio of 3:3:4 to plant bamboo begonia.

In order to increase the nutrition of the flower soil, you can bury the base fertilizer in the middle and lower part of the flower soil. About 1/10 of the total amount of flower soil can be buried in the flower soil.

Third, the planting environment:

Bamboo Begonia is afraid of cold and high temperature, avoid strong light and need sufficient light. When maintaining Bamboo Begonia, keep it in the suitable growth range, about 15 to 28 degrees Celsius. High temperature can easily cause sunburn, and low temperature can freeze to death.

When the temperature is suitable during daily maintenance, you should give the bamboo begonia plenty of light.

When the temperature is high, shade should be provided, and when the temperature is low, bring the plant indoors for the winter. Keep the plant in sunlight for more than 6 hours a day, and when it is maintained indoors, ensure that it has at least 3 to 5 hours of sunlight a day. Lack of sunlight will result in no flowering.

Fourth, watering:

Bamboo Begonia likes a humid environment and avoids waterlogging in the flower soil. When watering, it is mainly based on the dryness of the shallow surface soil of the flower soil. When it is dry at a depth of about 3 cm, water it immediately.

You can't wait until the flower soil is completely dry, otherwise it will easily turn yellow and wither. Watering is divided into two steps.

Watering is based on the dryness of the soil. If it is not dry, don't water it, and if it is, water it thoroughly. In addition, spray the soil 1 to 2 times a day.

When the temperature is high and dry, spray 3 to 5 times. The main purpose of spraying is to reduce temperature and increase humidity. Maintaining humidity at 55% is the most basic growth requirement for Begonia chinensis.

Fifth, fertilization:

Bamboo Begonia grows quickly and consumes a lot of nutrients, so daily fertilization must ensure an adequate supply of nutrients.

It is generally recommended to use "fermented sheep dung balls" and bury them shallowly in the shallow surface of the flower soil by loosening the soil. During the peak growth period, you can add "fermented rice water" to the flower soil once a month to increase the output of nutrients.

One month before the flowering period of the bamboo-jointed begonia, or half a month after the flowers fall, the output of phosphorus and potassium should be preferred when fertilizing. You can use "potassium dihydrogen phosphate" diluted with 1200 times of water and spray it on the leaves.

"Potassium dihydrogen phosphate" can promote the absorption and digestion of nutrients under photosynthesis, and can promote rooting and flowering.
