How to grow beautiful wisteria flowers at home

If you want the wisteria to be beautiful, you must choose the stake according to the requirements of bonsai. When choosing the stake, look for the stake with a curved trunk, twists and turns, and transitional changes.

Then, according to the style of making bonsai, you can choose the material of cliff, waterside, or dwarf big tree.

Then, the wisteria tree stump is dwarfed by cutting the trunk to achieve the purpose of "shrinking the dragon into an inch". Later, it is planted in a flower pot with a suitable proportion to increase its ornamental value.

First, planting and cultivating piles:

Choose around March, when the spring temperature rises to around 22 degrees Celsius during the day and above 10 degrees Celsius at night, to transplant the living stumps or cut branches from the main trunk.

1. Apply healing agent to the wounds on the trunk, and use a utility knife to trim the wounds at the planting site to make them smooth and free of burrs.

2. Then plant it in freshwater river sand. When planting, choose the method of shallow planting and high soil. Cover the sand to about 1/2 of the main trunk of the wisteria. The part exposed outside the river sand can be bagged, and the latter can be wrapped with plastic wrap. After about half a year, it can be potted again.

Second, plant in pots:

About half a year after the wisteria takes root, it can be potted. When potting, use a mixed soil with more nutrients. The soil should be loose and breathable, with good drainage, light fertilizer and slightly acidic.

Wisteria does not have high requirements for growth, but for better growth of Wisteria, it is recommended to use mixed soil. When mixing soil, take one-third of freshwater river sand + farmland soil + humus soil and mix them for planting. Immediately after planting, water the plants once to establish roots.

Third, maintain the environment:

Wisteria is not very picky about the environment. It can tolerate semi-shade environment and can also be maintained in full sun. In order to make wisteria bloom more, it is best to maintain it in full sun during high temperature periods and avoid strong light at noon.

Wisteria prefers moist air, and the most suitable air humidity is about 55% or above. During daily maintenance, you can increase the humidity of the small environment by spraying.

Fourth, watering:

Wisteria likes a humid environment, but is afraid of waterlogging in the soil. In addition to using draining soil as mentioned above, when watering wisteria, judge by the dryness and wetness of the soil, and achieve "don't water if it's not dry, and water thoroughly if it is."

In order for Wisteria to bloom more, the watering time of Wisteria should be extended during the flowering period. Let Wisteria grow in a relatively dry flower soil, and when it blooms, there will be more flowers, and the flowers will be more compact.

Fifth, fertilization:

Maintenance of wisteria is inseparable from fertilization. When fertilizing daily, apply thin fertilizer to promote growth. During the vigorous growth period, apply fertilizer with a higher concentration.

During the budding period of wisteria, the nutrients consumed are relatively large, so you can use "urea" to supplement nitrogen fertilizer to promote the growth of new buds. Later, you can switch to applying "organic fertilizer" with balanced nutrients.

In order to improve the flowering efficiency of wisteria, during the flowering period, water should be properly controlled, light should be increased, and fertilizer should be applied with a focus on supplementing "phosphorus and potassium" elements.

It is recommended to use "potassium dihydrogen phosphate" to supplement nutrients. Dilute "potassium dihydrogen phosphate" with water 1500 times. Spray it on the trunk and leaves of wisteria. It can promote photosynthesis, promote cell fission, promote flowering, and prolong the flowering period of wisteria.

Sixth, trimming and shaping:

Wisteria has a strong germination ability. During the growth period, it is necessary to remove the adventitious buds from time to time. After growing for a period of time, the vine branches tend to get tangled together. You can make a targeted cut and select the branches of the wisteria. Then let the branches grow freely.

The branches are usually arranged in a curtain-like pattern. When the branches grow to a certain proportion with the trunk, they are pruned heavily to grow new branches.

When the new branches grow to about 0.5 cm, you can use thin aluminum wire to pull or wrap and bend them to determine the direction of the branches. It is generally recommended to let the branches grow at a downward angle.
