What is the effect of using water-soluble fertilizer for cucumbers (formula and plan of water-soluble fertilizer for greenhouse cucumbers)

What is water soluble fertilizer

There is actually not much difference between granular water-soluble fertilizer and powdered water-soluble fertilizer, the only difference is the shape.

Its specific ingredients are divided into several types, including water-soluble fertilizers containing large amounts of elements, water-soluble fertilizers containing medium and trace elements, and water-soluble fertilizers containing amino acids. Among them, water-soluble fertilizers containing large amounts of elements are one of the fertilizers we most commonly use.

Among the macro-element water-soluble fertilizers, common ratios include balanced water-soluble fertilizers, high-phosphorus water-soluble fertilizers and high-potassium water-soluble fertilizers.

We have a large area of greenhouse cucumber cultivation here, and we use water-soluble fertilizers on a large scale, and the effect is quite good.

Effects and stages of using water-soluble fertilizers for cucumbers

With the rapid development of modern agriculture, the integrated water-fertilizer strategy has been gradually popularized in my country. This fertilization management method just meets the fertilizer and water requirements of cucumber.

In order to ensure that cucumbers do not produce cone-shaped fruits that are thick at both ends and thin in the middle in the later stage, or to reduce the occurrence of such deformed cucumbers, a comprehensive fertilization plan for cucumbers is hereby compiled:

(1) Base fertilizer

Generally, about 7,500 kg of high-quality manure and compost are applied per mu of cucumber yielding fields; more than 10,000 kg of well-rotted high-quality farmyard manure is applied per mu of protected land, along with 35-50 kg of superphosphate and 15 kg of potassium sulfate. The approximate ratio of the three elements is 1:0.6:0.8.

(2) Topdressing

The principle of topdressing cucumbers is to apply thinly and frequently, and apply small amounts but often. It is best to use some fast-acting water-soluble fertilizers with good absorption. Supplying water and fertilizer at the same time is efficient and has better utilization rate:

① Topdressing during the seedling stage

During the early flowering stage of cucumber, which is the plant growth stage, appropriate amount of molar high nitrogen water-soluble fertilizer can be applied.

This can promote the cucumber seedlings to take root quickly and absorb nutrients, improve growth, and promote flower bud differentiation. The formula content can be 20-10-20+TE or 31-10-10+TE.

② Topdressing during the early flowering period

Do not apply too much fertilizer to Huang in the early flowering period. The key is "control" to prevent the stems and leaves from growing too long and causing "melon transformation" . You can apply appropriate molar balanced macro-element water-soluble fertilizers to balance the nutrients and prevent nutrient imbalance and excessive growth.

③ Topdressing during the fruiting period

After cucumbers start to bear fruit, their demand for various nutrients begins to increase dramatically, mainly for the cucumber fruits.

The ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium for cucumbers during the entire growth period is 1.2:1:1.5, with the highest demand for nitrogen and potassium elements. There are also considerable amounts of calcium, magnesium, sulfur, zinc, iron and other trace elements. Reasonable supply can significantly improve the quality of cucumbers.

When the cucumbers start to form, you can apply molar high-calcium potassium water-soluble fertilizer or super potassium water-soluble fertilizer. It will have a very obvious effect on the growth of cucumbers, straightening of cucumbers, and the growth of flowers and thorns on the top. The effect can usually be seen in 5-7 days.

Correct use of cucumber water-soluble fertilizer

① Dosage

Water-soluble fertilizer is a quick-acting fertilizer that mainly plays a role in crop topdressing to make up for the lack of absorption capacity due to aging crop roots. 5-10 kg of powdered fertilizer per acre of land is enough.

② Dilution

Water-soluble fertilizers, whether liquid or powdered, must be dissolved and diluted with water. The 5 kg package uses the secondary dilution method. First, stir and dissolve in a small bucket and then add it to a large bucket for application.

③Method

Apply fertilizer evenly around the cucumber roots, preferably in the morning and evening to reduce ground evaporation.
