Jasmine watering method and precautions (when is the best time to water)

In fact, the amount of watering for potted jasmine is different in different seasons. It should be adjusted at any time according to regional temperature differences, climate changes, air humidity in the maintenance environment, and cultivation soil.

Take the example of growing jasmine in the northern region. The high temperature in summer is the peak flowering period of jasmine, and it needs a lot of water. Therefore, the most important thing is that the pot soil cannot dry out. The soil needs to be kept moist so that jasmine can bloom well.

In order to make jasmine produce flower buds, it should be watered thoroughly after the Qingming Festival in April in spring and before being moved outdoors for maintenance.

From mid-May to early July, as the temperature rises, the watering frequency of jasmine potted plants should be increased accordingly, and watering should be done once every two days or so. During the hot season from July to August, it is necessary to water it heavily to keep the pot soil moist .

In addition, you should spray water on the leaves frequently every day to increase the air humidity and lower the temperature in the environment, which will make it easier for jasmine to bloom.

In early September to early October, the temperature begins to drop, and the number of watering should be reduced accordingly. After the Mid-Autumn Festival, the amount of watering should be reduced, and the water should be gradually controlled to keep the pot soil moist and not dry.

In early November, you should move the jasmine potted plants indoors and keep the indoor temperature at around 5°C. At this time, do not water the potting soil unless it is dry. Just water until the soil is moist .

Winter is the dormant period of jasmine, so the soil in the pot should be slightly moist and slightly dry. Avoid excessive watering which will cause root rot .

In short, watering jasmine should be based on regional conditions, pay attention to seasonal changes and temperature, and flexibly control the number and amount of watering. Avoid watering too little or too much, causing the soil to be too dry or too wet, which is not conducive to the growth of jasmine.

The watering of potted jasmine at home should be adjusted according to the local climate changes. In the northern regions of spring, summer and autumn, it is better to keep it moist, while in winter it is better to keep it slightly moist and slightly dry .
