Flowering time of peonyThe leaves of the celery-leaf peony are like celery, and the flowers are like peonies, hence the name "celery-leaf peony". The celery-leaf peony cannot bloom all year round , and its flowering period is from April to May . A single flower can generally bloom for more than half a month, and if it does not rain, blow, or the weather is hot, it can even bloom for nearly 25 days. When the peony blooms, there are usually 1 to 4 flowers with 5 to 10 petals on each flower. The flower colors are very rich and bright, including solid colors, white background, pink border, gradient yellow , etc. When and how to plant peonyThe leaves of the celery-leaf peony look very much like celery, and the flower shape is more like the flower of the daffodil, so people call it the celery-leaf peony. When propagating the celery-leaf peony, there are three ways: grafting, division, and sowing. Division and sowing are the most commonly used. Different planting methods are different. GraftingAfter the flowering period of the celery peony , choose a suitable rootstock, peony root is the best. Cut 10-18 cm branches, make sure there are 1-2 buds, the soil buds or new branches of the year can be used as cuttings. Insert the cuttings into the incision of the rootstock. After the graft survives, it needs to be cultivated for 2-3 years before it can bloom and be transplanted. Propagation by divisionCelery peony is suitable for division propagation in September and October every year . Dig the celery peony plant out of the soil and gently shake off the old soil. Then divide the plant, each plant must have roots. And use scissors to trim the long roots, rotten roots, and rotten roots. Then put it in a cool place to dry, and it can be replanted after 2-3 days. The cultivation soil for celery peony should be loose, fertile and highly breathable. After planting, place it in a well-ventilated and scattered light place for maintenance, water it to keep the soil moist, and avoid waterlogging. PlantingThe best time to sow celery peony is from mid-October to mid-November . Soak the seeds in water for 24 hours, take them out and wrap them with gauze, and control the ambient temperature at 10-15℃ to germinate. Rinse with clean water in the morning and evening, then drain the water, and keep the seeds moist at all times. Celery peony prefers neutral or alkaline soil with good drainage. The depth of seed sowing should not exceed 3 cm. After sowing, keep the daytime temperature at around 20℃ and the nighttime temperature at around 10℃. Wait 20-30 days for buds to sprout and it will bloom in April of the following year . |
