Money tree cutting method, cutting propagation time and precautions

The money tree is a very popular green plant and is quite common in our lives. People have always been interested in the money tree cuttings. Today I will introduce the money tree cuttings method in detail.

Money tree cutting time

The cuttings have strict requirements on the surrounding environment and temperature, and it is best to reach 20℃ every day. In seasons with relatively stable climate, such as spring, the survival rate of cuttings is relatively high . It is best not to do cuttings in winter and summer, because the climate is unstable during this period, which can easily affect the root system of the money tree.

Money tree cutting method

1. Soil

Prepare breathable, loose, and well-permeable soil. You can mix sawdust and garden soil in a 1:1 ratio and add some expanded clay to help the money tree grow.

2. Select branches

Select healthy and strong branches from the plant as cuttings. Try to control the length between 8-12 cm, and it is best to have 3-6 leaves when cutting.

3. Soak the branches

Cut the branches diagonally, soak them in rooting water for a few seconds, dry them, and then place them in the prepared soil.

4. Maintain the environment

Finally, place it in a cool and ventilated environment. It takes a month for the cuttings to grow roots. Avoid exposure to the sun during this period. Do not fertilize. If the leaves wilt, you can spray some water with a spray bottle.

Money tree cuttings precautions

Before cutting, do not expose to the sun for a long time, let alone overwater. If the temperature drops suddenly, the cuttings need to be placed in a warm environment to maintain a constant temperature that is conducive to their growth.

Do not cut the branches when cutting, otherwise it is easy to get infected. After the pot is transplanted, it can be maintained normally in about a week.
