Dendrobium has a relatively high demand for water. The best time to water it is between 9 and 11 in the morning. When the ambient temperature is higher than 30°C, you need to pay attention to ventilation and moisturizing. Do not water it when the temperature is high.

When the Dendrobium plant is short of water, the leaves of the plant will droop, the flowers will wilt, and the surface will lack luster. At this time, the plant needs to be watered immediately.

Dendrobium has very high requirements for water, but the frequency of watering is different in different seasons. For example, in spring and autumn, it can be watered once every 2-3 days, in summer, it needs to be watered once in the morning and evening, and in winter, it needs to be watered once every 7-10 days.

Dendrobium watering method

1. Immersion basin method

Usually, you can use the immersion method to water the Dendrobium. Place the flowerpot in a basin of water and soak the bottom of the pot to achieve the purpose of watering. Take it out when you see that the surface soil is moist.

2. Sand column method

When potting Dendrobium, you can place a few hollow tubes in the pot, and then compact the surrounding soil to form a sand column, which can then be used to spread water around when watering.

3. Cotton thread water absorption method

You can put a piece of cotton cloth in the Dendrobium orchid pot, and then put the other end in the water in the bottom tray. This way you can use the water absorption capacity of the cotton cloth to water the plant.
