Industrial hemp cultivation climate

Industrial hemp has a wide range of adaptability to temperature, especially during seed germination and the early growth of seedlings, it has a strong ability to withstand low temperatures, so it can also be planted in some high-altitude and cold areas. Hemp seeds can germinate at low temperatures of 1 to 3°C, but in order to germinate quickly and evenly, it is advisable to sow when the soil temperature is stable at 8 to 10°C. The optimum temperature for seed germination is 25 to 30°C.

Suitable areas for growing industrial hemp

It is suitable for planting in land with deep, loose and fertile soil, strong water and fertilizer retention capacity, rich in organic matter, low groundwater level and good drainage. It is planted in the Lu'an hemp area of Anhui in the south, near the river bends of the Pi River and Shi River, and in the Laiwu and Tai'an hemp areas of Shandong in the north.

Industrial hemp planting time
