How to germinate peach seeds? Simple method to quickly germinate peach pits

How to Germinate Peach Seeds

1. Soak in warm water

After smashing the peach pit, slowly take out the peach seeds or peach kernels inside, put them in warm water at 40-50℃, soak for 2-3 days, and they will germinate in about a week. If peach trees are planted with peach pits, the shell of the peach pit is generally hard, so you need to smash a small hole in the peach pit, soak it in clean water for 5-7 days to soften the shell of the peach pit, then tear off the membrane at the tip of the peach pit, put it in a cool place and wait for 4-5 days, then you can see peach seeds emerging from the gap in the peach pit.

2. Sand burial germination

Prepare moist fine sand, bury the peach seeds in the fine sand, place them in a cool and ventilated place, spray the fine sand with water every day to keep it moist, wait for the peach kernel shell to crack, then put them in a plastic bag and seal it, and they will germinate in about 6 to 8 days.

Peach seed germination process

Remove the hard shell of the peach pit, take out the kernel and soak it in clean water, slowly peel off the dark membrane on the outside to reveal the white peach kernel core inside, find a slightly deeper plate, put a layer of napkins at the bottom, about two or three layers, spray water until it is soaked, and place in a warm and ventilated place for about 6-10 days to germinate.

Peach planting and harvesting

The growth period of peach seeds after sowing is relatively long. It takes about 3-5 years from planting to growing seedlings to bearing fruit. Generally, with proper maintenance, fruit can be produced in 3 years. 4-15 years is the peak fruit-bearing period, and a large number of fruits can be produced.
