Grape seed germination method 4 simple germination techniques (paper towel germination)

The main purpose of germinating grape seeds is to increase the germination rate of the seeds. The grapes grown after germination will also grow well, maximizing the economic value of the grapes and reducing their growth time.

Grape seed germination time

Grapes are sown in autumn from September to November. The germination rate is the highest at this time. 3-5 days before germination, we will start germination work to help the seeds germinate faster.

Grape seed germination technology

1. Warm water germination

Pour hot water and cold water together in a ratio of 2:1, put the seeds in it and stir constantly. Stop when the water temperature is lower than the room temperature. The seeds will start to germinate after 2-3 days.

2. Variable temperature germination

Variable temperature germination means constantly stirring the seeds in hot water for 5 minutes, then soaking them in cold water. After 2-3 days, they can be germinated. It should be noted that the water temperature should be between 10-60℃. Too hot water will make the seeds lose their germination ability.

3. Sand storage and germination

Sand germination is carried out in March and April every year. The amount of sand used is about 3-4 times the amount of seeds. The seeds need to be covered in sand and will germinate after 60 days.

4. Drug germination

Gibberellic acid can be used to accelerate germination, accelerate seed metabolism, and promote seed growth, thereby achieving the requirement of rapid seed germination.
