Spinach germination method: soaking seeds to germinate quickly

Spinach is grown in many areas of our country. During the spinach planting process, attention should be paid to the seed treatment. If the seeds are not treated properly, it will easily affect the germination and growth of spinach.

Spinach seeds have a very hard gelatinous shell. If they are sown directly, it is difficult for water to enter the inside of the seeds. Such seeds will affect the germination rate of spinach. Therefore, the spinach seeds must be soaked and germinated before sowing. This can effectively increase the germination rate of spinach.

Spinach germination time

When planting vegetables, in order to achieve high yields and economic benefits, it is necessary to consider increasing the germination rate of vegetables. The same is true for spinach. Spinach is generally planted in summer and autumn. Whether it is summer or autumn, the seeds need to be soaked before planting spinach. This can increase the germination rate of spinach seeds.

Spinach germination technology

Before germinating spinach, first select the seeds, remove small and unfull seeds, then soak them in cold water for 18 to 24 hours. After the seeds absorb water and swell, take them out and spread them in a place with a temperature of 15 to 20°C. Then cover the seeds with moist burlap or straw bags, turn them over 2-3 times a day, and they will germinate and be sown after 3 to 5 days.
