How much is the yield per mu of rice field?

Rice field yield per mu

Under normal planting conditions, the rice yield per mu is about 2000-2400 jin. It should be noted that the specific yield per mu will be affected by factors such as different regions, different environments, different climates, and different varieties. These elements will lead to different yields. Usually, high-quality varieties are used and rice can be easily produced under scientific management.

Rice field planting prospects

The cost of rice cultivation includes land rent, seeds, pesticides, fertilizers, labor, and some auxiliary planting equipment. The total cost is about 1,500 yuan. Based on an output of 1,600 kilograms per mu, the income per mu is 2,400 yuan. Excluding the cost of planting, the income per mu is only 900 yuan.

The economic benefits of rice are not high, but my country's demand for rice is very large. Now the planting area is decreasing, and my country needs to import a large amount of rice from abroad every year. This has increased the price of rice to a certain extent. In this case, there is still a certain prospect for planting.

How to grow rice fields to achieve high yields

1. Planting time

Because the climatic conditions vary greatly from place to place, the specific sowing and harvesting times of rice are also slightly different. Generally speaking, rice can be sown when the local average daily temperature is stable at above 12 degrees for 3 to 5 consecutive days. Rice cannot be sown when the temperature is below 10 degrees.

2. Seed treatment

Choose excellent varieties with strong disease resistance, good stress resistance, high purity, high germination rate, good yield, strong germination potential, plump grains, and full health. Before sowing rice, choose a sunny day between 10 am and 3 pm, expose them to the sun for 2 to 3 days, and then soak them in clean water to germinate.

3. Land preparation

Rice is suitable for planting in soil that is deep, loose, fertile and well-drained. The planting site should be deep plowed and raked 15-25 centimeters in advance to create a good root environment for the growth and development of rice.

4. Intertillage and weeding

The first tillage and weeding should be carried out one week after rice transplanting. For plots with more weeds, herbicides should be sprayed for closed field weeding. Commonly used herbicides include oxadiazon, benzylpyridamole, cyhalofop-butyl, benzylpyridam, penoxsulam, bentazon, and diquat.

5. Strengthen pest and disease control

Common diseases and pests during the growth period of rice are damping-off disease, cotton rot, sheath blight, rice blast, rice stem borer, rice leaf folder, heart borer, rice thrips and rice planthoppers. We should strengthen field inspections and carry out targeted prevention and control according to the type of disease and pest in the early stage of the disease.
