Suitable time for planting peppers

The best time to sow peppers is from March to July each year, but in fact peppers can be planted all year round, mainly depending on the conditions of the planting environment at the time. If sowing is too early, the seedlings will tend to grow too fast, causing nutritional growth disorders and leading to a significant decrease in yield. Therefore, the most suitable period for growing peppers is spring.

Pepper planting methods and key points

1. Prepare the soil

When planting peppers, you need to choose loose and fertile soil. In order to enhance the air permeability of the soil, you can add some sand in an appropriate amount. You can also spread a layer of base fertilizer at the bottom of the soil to provide sufficient nutrients.

2. Seed treatment

Soaking plump and healthy pepper seeds in warm water for half a day can effectively kill the bacteria in the seeds. Take out the seeds and shake off excess water. Place them on a paper towel, maintain the temperature between 18 and 25°C, water them twice a day, and wait for the seeds to germinate.

Points to note for daily management of peppers

Place the pepper seeds in a ventilated place without direct sunlight. After the pepper seedlings grow out, you can tear off the outer film. When the pepper seedlings grow two true leaves, you can transplant them. When transplanting, provide sufficient light, water in time, and do a good job of fertilizing to promote the continuous growth of the pepper seedlings.
