How to grow potted Cineraria

How to grow potted Cineraria

1. Pot soil

When growing, the potting soil is very important. It is usually made of a mixture of garden soil, leaf mold, compost soil, etc., and an appropriate amount of base fertilizer is added to meet its early growth needs.

2. Put it in the basin

When its seedlings grow two leaves, we can transplant them into shallow pots, and mix culture soil and fine sand into the pots, with 3 plants in each pot. When it is 40 days old, the seedling will have grown 4 to 5 leaves. Then we can move it to a larger pot and add some soil. Then water it thoroughly, place it in a cool place, and provide sufficient light at the right time.

3. Lighting

It likes light very much. When caring for it, you should let it get as much sun as possible. This will not only make its corolla neat, but also enhance its ability to resist diseases, so as to prevent pests. If there is insufficient light, the color of the flowers will be irregular, affecting its ornamental value. In addition, when enjoying the sunshine, you should also pay attention to turning the flower pot frequently to prevent it from growing to one side.

4. Temperature

When raising it, the temperature should not be too high. When the temperature exceeds 15 degrees, it will start to grow tall, so we should try to control the temperature between 7 and 10 degrees and ventilate frequently.

5. Fertilization

In the early stage of planting, you can fertilize it every 7 to 10 days, and the fertilizer is usually organic fertilizer. After 100 days of planting, you should spray water on the leaves and apply thin fertilizer every 10 to 15 days. This will allow the flower buds to differentiate and make the flowers more colorful.
