Rose seed planting method and time How to plant seeds to make them germinate easily

Suitable time for planting rose seeds

Rose seeds are best planted in spring, because the weather is warmer at this time. Roses generally bloom from April to September each year. If they are carefully cultivated under sufficient light, the flowering period will be extended to October-November. Usually, they can bloom normally if placed in a semi-shaded and semi-sunny place.

Rose seed planting methods and key points

1. Germination: Before planting rose seeds, you first need to germinate the rose seeds. First, place the seeds in moist soil, then cover them with a layer of moist sand, and wait for the seeds to germinate before planting.

2. Sowing: Rose seeds need to be sown when the temperature is 5-10 degrees. There are three methods of sowing, namely spot sowing, row sowing or pot sowing. During the sowing process, the distance between the seeds should be kept at 3cm. After sowing, a layer of plain sand should be covered on the seeds, and then watered thoroughly. Generally, the seedlings will emerge about 40 days after sowing.

Key points for daily management of rose seeds

1. Temperature: When planting roses, you must control the temperature of the environment to ensure that the maximum temperature does not exceed 20 degrees, and strengthen ventilation. After 15 days, give it appropriate light.

2. Fertilization: The use of fertilizers in rose planting is very strict. If it is used improperly, all previous efforts will be wasted. Generally, fertilizer can only be applied within 50 days after planting. Choose dilute liquid fertilizer and apply it in small amounts.
