What fertilizer to use for konjac

When planting konjac, if conditions permit, it is best to use farmyard manure as the main fertilizer, and then apply sufficient base fertilizer and topdressing early. The amount of base fertilizer should be more than 60% of the total fertilizer. If this amount is not reached, it cannot meet the nutritional needs of konjac during the growth period. If konjac lacks fertilizer during the growth period, it is likely to cause disease and reduced production.

Fertilizer for Konjac

For konjac, you can choose farmyard manure and compound fertilizer. Then, it should be noted that the farmyard manure must be fully fermented. Do not choose chicken manure with a lot of bacteria. If there are pests in the farmyard manure, remember to carry out insecticide treatment. The compound fertilizer should be chlorine-free and high-potassium compound fertilizer. At the same time, it should be noted that it must be produced by a regular large manufacturer. For the compound fertilizer used for topdressing, you must choose one with high potassium content, such as 16-6-24, 17-8-25, etc.

Konjac Fertilization Method

There are three key points to remember when fertilizing konjac: base fertilizer before planting, fertilization in the seedling stage, and topdressing in the bulb expansion stage. Base fertilizer is generally applied 10-15 days before planting, with about 2 tons of decomposed compost per mu in the planting ditch. About two months later, base fertilizer mainly composed of farmyard manure or compound fertilizer is applied. When the konjac grows to the expansion stage, topdressing of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium is required at 30-40 kg/mu. Be careful not to apply overly acidic or alkaline fertilizers, and do not apply uncomposted organic fertilizers.
