How to prepare soil for rubber tree planting and the proportion of soil preparation

Rubber tree suitable soil requirements

Rubber trees have certain requirements for cultivation soil. The soil used must meet the requirements of being loose and permeable, with good drainage capacity, and it also needs to have a certain amount of fertility. Such soil can allow rubber trees to breathe more conveniently and absorb enough nutrients.

Rubber tree soil preparation method

1. Leaf mold + garden soil + river sand

Rubber trees have no requirements for soil. Usually the soil for potted plants only needs to be a mixture of leaf mold, garden soil and river sand in a ratio of 1:1:1. In order to have fertility to support its growth, some base fertilizer needs to be added to the soil.

2. Leaf mold + grass ash soil + river sand

When we are potting rubber trees, it is best to use 4 parts of leaf mold or peat soil, 3 parts of grass ash soil and about 1/4 of river sand to make nutrient soil. Such soil contains more nutrients and has good air permeability, which is suitable for the growth of rubber trees.

Rubber tree soil changing method steps

1. Remove from the pot and trim the roots: First, take the rubber tree out of the original pot. You can knock on the pot wall a few times with your hands, then turn the pot over and take it out directly. If there are insects or rotten roots, we can clean these parts. Remember not to damage the roots.

2. Prepare the potting soil: prepare a flower pot with good air permeability, put two tiles at the bottom of the pot, but do not block its holes, and then put the prepared soil in it. You can add some livestock fertilizer to the soil to improve the soil fertility.

3. Soil changing method: plant the rubber tree in a new pot, and then fill it with new soil. Be careful not to fill it up completely. You need to leave 2-3 cm away from the pot. After planting, water it with an appropriate amount and place it in a cool place for maintenance.
