How to grow banyan trees

How to grow banyan trees

1. Breeding environment

(1) Temperature: Banyan trees prefer warmth, around 15 degrees Celsius. The most important thing to note is winter, when the temperature must be above eight degrees.

(2) Fertilizer: There is a great demand for it, especially during the growth period. When the growth rate is very fast, organic liquid fertilizer should be applied once a month. In addition, an additional application of alum fertilizer water is required in May and August. In addition, if you feel that its growth is not very good, you can apply external fertilizer once a day, using animal manure, etc. In addition, you can also spray fertilizer on the leaves and use nutrient solution. However, the summer is too hot and there is almost no demand in the winter, so it is not suitable to fertilize.

(3) Watering: Water frequently during the growth period to ensure humidity. Especially in summer, twice a day during the hottest time. However, the more is not necessarily better, and water should not accumulate. In addition to watering, you can also sprinkle water on the ground or in the air to increase the humidity.

(4) Light: Sufficient sunlight is required, especially in winter. In summer, when the light is too strong, shade is also needed.

2. Repotting

Regular repotting is important for its growth. However, the intervals for plants of different ages are different, young plants about once every two years, and old plants once every three to four years. The best time is late April to early May. In addition to replacing half of the old soil with fertile new soil, you also need to cut off the dry, dense, and short roots and trim its shape.
