When and how to plant chrysanthemum

Planting time of chrysanthemum

Chinese cabbage is generally planted in spring and autumn every year, but in some areas it is also planted in greenhouses in winter.

Planting will be carried out around February to May in spring, around July to September in autumn, and around November to December in special winter conditions. Since chrysanthemum is not resistant to high temperatures, it cannot be planted in summer to avoid affecting the growth of seedlings.

Planting methods and key points of chrysanthemum

1. Land preparation and fertilization: Before sowing, chrysanthemum should be fertilized with basic fertilizers. About 1500-2000 kg of organic fertilizer should be added per mu, and about 20-25 kg of diammonium phosphate should be added to replenish nutrients in time.

2. Sowing: Generally speaking, Chinese chrysanthemum is sown by broadcasting or row sowing. After sowing, be sure to cover it with 1 cm of soil and then press it down appropriately to prevent the seeds from flowing away with the water when watering.

3. Field management: Pay attention to proper weeding of chrysanthemum and keep the soil moist.

Precautions for planting chrysanthemum

When sowing chrysanthemum, you need to pay attention to controlling the spacing between chrysanthemums at about 15 cm to avoid poor growth due to over-dense planting. In the process of planting chrysanthemums, you need to provide chrysanthemums with full-day sunlight so that they can carry out photosynthesis, and also pay attention to appropriate watering to keep the soil moist.
