1. Seed selection

2. Site selection and land preparation

Gewurze is suitable for planting in slightly acidic clay or sandy loam that is loose, rich in organic matter, and has good water and fertilizer retention capacity. The suitable soil pH value is about 4.5-8.9. After selecting the site, the soil should be plowed and leveled, and well-rotted farmyard manure should be applied as base fertilizer, and then ridges should be made.

3. Planting seeds

The seeds of bitter melon are small, so it is best to sow them by broadcasting. Make shallow grooves on the bed surface, evenly spread the seeds into the grooves, cover them with 0.5-1 cm of fine soil, wet the soil thoroughly, and then gently press it down.

Daily management precautions for bitter chrysanthemum

Gewurzea prefers a warm environment. The suitable temperature for seed germination is 15 to 20 degrees. Germination is inhibited when the temperature is above 30 degrees. During the seedling stage, Gewurzea needs to be well managed for watering. Keep the soil dry and moist. Water frequently during the period of vigorous growth. In the later stage of growth, the water content needs to be controlled to improve quality and yield.
