Onion Origin

Onions are native to West Asia and Central Asia, and are widely distributed in my country. The main producing areas are Shandong, Gansu, Sichuan, Wuwei, Yunnan and Jiangsu. The onion harvest time is relatively concentrated, generally between May and June, without much difference.

Onion planting time and key points

1. Seed processing: Before sowing, onion seeds need to be turned over and dried, then soaked in water at 50 degrees, and the wax layer must be rubbed off before seedling cultivation.

2. Seedling raising and land preparation: Before planting onions, sufficient organic fertilizer needs to be applied to the soil, and the soil needs to be deeply plowed and leveled so that the seeds can be sown and covered with soil.

3. Transplanting: After the onion seedlings grow to a certain height, they can be transplanted. Before transplanting, sufficient base fertilizer needs to be applied and the land needs to be leveled, which is conducive to growth and development.
