The producing areas of spring corn include Shandong, Northeast China, Hebei and the southern region. It is usually planted in Shandong in early April and can be harvested by the end of August to early September. Spring corn in Hebei region is generally planted between April and May and can be harvested in late August. Spring corn in southern regions is generally planted in March and April and can be harvested around July.

1. Planting time

Spring corn is usually planted in April and May every year. The specific sowing time varies depending on the region. The Shandong area is suitable for planting in early April, the Northeast region is suitable for planting from April 20th to May 10th, and the southern region is generally planted in late March and early April.

2. Land preparation and fertilization

Before planting corn, you need to prepare the land and apply fertilizer. Choose a suitable plot, then deep plow the soil to a depth of about 35 cm to make the soil loose and breathable, and apply sufficient fertilizer as base fertilizer to the soil to improve soil fertility.
