How often should I water the longevity flower?

Generally speaking, there are two principles to follow when watering Kalanchoe. One is "water when dry" and the other is "better dry than wet". Try not to water when the soil is not dry. When watering, it is best to use self-dried water that has been dried in the sun, or diluted rice water.

1. Watering in spring

The temperature is low and the humidity is high in spring, so proper water control is needed to prevent waterlogging and root rot of the Kalanchoe. Generally, watering once every 5-7 days is sufficient.

2. Watering in summer

Because the temperature is very high in summer, water evaporates quickly, so you need to water the Kalanchoe once every 1-2 days. In addition, you can spray water more often to keep it moist.

3. Watering in autumn

The temperature in autumn is also relatively high. In the south, you need to water once a day, and in the north, you can water once every two days. Remember to water when the soil is dry and wet when the soil is wet.

4. Watering in winter

Kalanchoe is not cold-resistant and needs to spend the winter indoors. At this time, the plant's water requirement is the least. Generally, watering it once a week is sufficient. If the indoor temperature is dry, the watering can be shortened to once every 2-3 days.

Precautions for watering Kalanchoe

When watering Kalanchoe, you need to pay more attention to the impact of temperature, especially in summer and winter. When the temperature is higher than 35℃ or lower than 8℃, you need to stop watering.
