Hang eggplant planting time and method

Planting time of Hang eggplant

Hangzhou eggplant is mainly divided into early spring seedling cultivation and late spring seedling cultivation. Early spring is generally transplanted after the late frost, while late spring seedling cultivation is generally carried out after the fast-growing vegetables in spring are mature and harvested. When planting, it is necessary to do it when the temperature is relatively stable, which is more conducive to seed germination.

How to plant Hang eggplant

1. Soak the seeds for germination: In order to increase the germination rate of Hangzhou eggplant seeds, the seeds need to be soaked in hot water for 20 minutes before sowing, and then soaked in clean water at 10-30 degrees for 12 hours, then taken out and placed in a damp paper towel for germination.

2. Sowing and seedling raising: After most of the seeds turn white, you can sow the seeds in large seedling trays, cover them with a layer of fine soil, and after watering them thoroughly, place them in a suitable environment and cover them with a film to increase the speed of seed germination.

3. Transplanting and planting: When the eggplant seedlings grow 2-3 true leaves, they can be transplanted into nutrient pots. After the seedlings grow up, they need to be transplanted into the ground with some soil. The temperature needs to be kept between 15-30 degrees.

Precautions for planting Hangzhou eggplant

After transplanting and planting, Hangzhou eggplants generally only need to be watered once. When the plants grow to a certain height, they need to be pruned in time to concentrate nutrients. This is also conducive to the vigorous growth of the fruit, allowing it to mature and be put on the market early.
