Cultivation methods and precautions of hydroponic white palm

Cultivation methods and precautions of hydroponic white palm

1. Container

Generally, a medium-sized fish tank is sufficient. If you want to grow it in a vase, you need to choose one with a larger bottom.

2. Temperature

It needs to be controlled within an appropriate range, that is, five to thirty degrees. Within this range, it can grow normally and should not be too high or too low.

3. Lighting

Hydroponics also require light. Scattered light is sufficient for daily maintenance. Place it in a place with good light, such as a window; it does not necessarily have to be placed in the sun. In addition, in summer, you need to pay attention to shading and avoid strong light.

4. Change the water

The water change intervals are different in different seasons. In high temperatures, such as in summer, it is necessary to do it about once a week. When the temperature is low, such as in winter, it can be done once every ten to fifteen days. Note that you need to clean the roots before changing the water, then cut off the mucus, aging roots, rotten roots, and brush off the moss attached to the container. Also pay attention to the amount of water, it is best to cover one-half to two-thirds of the roots. In addition, after changing the water, you can also add some nutrient solution into it.

5. Water spray

To prevent the leaves from drying out, you need to spray them with clean water frequently, especially in summer.

6. Fertilization

In addition to the nutrient solution added when changing the water, the main fertilizer applied is foliar fertilizer. About once a week. This can provide it with sufficient nutrients, making the leaves shiny and resistant to the cold in winter.

7. Notes

During the flowering period, spraying some potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution can promote flowering.
