Where do oranges grow? Growth environment and origin distribution

Orange growth habits

Oranges are brightly colored and sweet and sour in taste. They are the most common fruit in autumn and winter. Oranges are very nutritious, containing a lot of protein, organic acids, vitamins and other essential nutrients for the human body, which is difficult to compare with other fruits.

Where do oranges like to grow?

The main producing areas of oranges are Sichuan, Guangxi, Guangdong and Fujian in my country, and Brazil and the United States abroad.

Oranges have a wide range of adaptability to soil and can grow well in red soil, yellow soil and purple soil. However, the most suitable soil for orange growth is deep soil, and the pH value of the soil is most suitable between 6.0 and 6.5.

Orange growth environment and conditions

1. Fertilizer

Orange is a fruit plant that likes fertilizer. Usually, you should pay attention to applying more thin fertilizers. Apply decomposed liquid fertilizer once before the plant sprouts. Then apply liquid fertilizer mainly composed of nitrogen fertilizer once every 7 to 10 days. This can promote the growth of branches and leaves.

2. Moisture

Oranges have certain requirements for water when growing. The relative water content in the soil should be between 60% and 80%. If it is lower than 60%, watering is required. When there is too much rain, it is easy to cause water accumulation in the soil and lead to root death. At this time, attention should be paid to drainage.
