Can the double-line arrowroot be hydroponically cultivated?

The double-line arrowroot can be grown hydroponically. The double-line arrowroot is very sensitive to the handling of containers and root systems. When grown hydroponically, the roots of the plant need to be pruned, which can easily cause wound infection and root rot, affecting the survival rate of the double-line arrowroot. Soil-cultured double-line arrowroot is simpler to operate, the plant grows more vigorously, and looks more beautiful.

Methods and key points of hydroponic cultivation of double-line arrowroot

1. Choose a container: When hydroponically growing the double-line arrowroot, it is best to choose a glass container. The transparent material allows you to better observe the growth of its roots.

2. Cleaning and pruning: Select healthy and disease-free two-line arrowroot plants and soak them in water at the same room temperature, with the water level covering half of the root system. Remove old and rotten roots, and then soak the cleaned plants in a diluted potassium permanganate solution for one hour.

3. Planting the plants: Clean the disinfected two-line arrowroot, plant it in a hydroponic container, and add clean water to 2/3 of the root system. You can also add a small amount of nutrient solution to promote growth.

Precautions for growing double-line arrowroot in water

1. Light: The hydroponic two-line arrowroot only needs to be exposed to diffuse light. Try to avoid direct sunlight in summer to prevent high temperatures from causing the two-line arrowroot to lose water, turn its leaves yellow, and dry up, leading to death.

2. Water: When hydroponically cultivating the double-line arrowroot, pay attention to the indoor air humidity. When the weather is dry, you need to spray clean water on the leaves of the double-line arrowroot, which can make its leaves greener.
