Can rice washing water be used to water Schefflera chinensis? The correct way to water rice washing water

Watering Schefflera chinensis with rice water

You can use rice water to water the Schefflera arborvitae, because rice water is rich in nutrients, especially nitrogen and other trace elements, which can promote the growth of the Schefflera arborvitae, keep the leaves green and shiny, and enhance the ornamental value of the plant. However, it cannot be used directly and must be fermented and diluted before use.

The correct way to water Schefflera chinensis with rice water

1. Fermentation

Collect some rice water, put it into a plastic bottle, add some orange peel and seal it. This will speed up the fermentation of the liquid. Then put it in the sun for exposure. The fermentation will be completed in about a month.

2. Dilute with water

After the fermentation is completed, take the clear liquid on the top and dilute it 20 times with water, then you can directly pour it into the Schefflera oleifera flowerpot.

3. Watering method

Pay more attention when watering, and slowly pour the rice water into the pot along the edge of the flowerpot. Use it about once every 7 days or so, so that the plant can continue to sprout new buds.

What to do if you pour too much water while washing rice

If you water the Schefflera oleifera too much with rice water, the most direct way is to replace the potting soil. This will avoid problems such as soil compaction and bacterial growth. After a period of time, the plant will be able to resume normal growth.
