How to grow roses in spring

How to grow roses in spring

1. Suitable temperature

It likes warmth, so the temperature in spring is generally suitable for it. It should be noted that in early spring, the temperature is still relatively low and may not be suitable. It must be ensured that it is not lower than five degrees, otherwise it will have an adverse effect on the plants.

2. Proper lighting

It needs light, but not too much. It is best placed in a semi-shaded environment.

3. Adequate water

It requires a lot of water, so the soil should be kept moist. Water twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. Of course, you also need to pay attention to the amount. Too wet is not good, and too much rain requires drainage.

4. Appropriate amount of fertilizer

Fertilizer can be applied once every half a month to assist growth. It is best to choose a slow-release organic fertilizer.

5. Trim once

Prune once in spring, before germination. After pruning, the branches will be dense and sparse, and the appearance will be better. Cut off dry branches, weak branches, and branches that grow across each other. Leave the strong, beautiful branches behind. For those branches that grow crosswise, they need to be trimmed cleanly from the roots.

6. Pest control

There are many types of pests, such as aphids, caterpillars, etc., which need to be treated in time.
