How long is the fruiting period of jackfruit? Fruiting period maintenance and management methods

How long does the jackfruit fruit season last?

The fruiting period of jackfruit is generally around June to August each year. It takes 3-5 years of maintenance before it will gradually bear fruit. Its growth rate is relatively fast, but during maintenance, there must be a suitable growth temperature and reasonable water and fertilizer management. It is best to use loose, fertile and slightly acidic soil for planting.

Jackfruit ripening time

Jackfruit generally matures in September and October every year, but sometimes it may mature early or late due to weather reasons, so when caring for it, there must be a relatively stable temperature environment. It is best to keep the temperature between 15 and 25 degrees so that it can bear fruit normally.

Jackfruit fruit maintenance and management

1. During the fruit-bearing period, jackfruit needs reasonable fertilizer and water management. Some fruit-enhancing fertilizers need to be applied, and this should be done at the same time as watering to ensure that it has sufficient nutrients and water for growth. Appropriate pruning is also required during the maintenance period, and the excess fruits on the branches need to be cut off, so as not to affect the quality of the fruit.

2. When jackfruit is in fruit-bearing period, it is best to fertilize it once a month. Generally, some fruit-enhancing fertilizer and fruit-preserving fertilizer are applied to promote the growth of the fruit.

3. During the fruit-bearing period, jackfruit should be sprayed with some medicines in time to prevent the occurrence of diseases and pests. Usually, 500 times diluted carbendazim is sprayed.
