Zucchini growth cycle

Zucchini requires moderate light, long-day conditions are conducive to the growth of stems and leaves, it is not drought-resistant, and the growing period is about 120 to 150 days. The growing period can be divided into four periods: germination period, young base, initial flowering period and fruiting period.

Zucchini growth rate

Zucchini is planted in spring and bears fruit in early summer. The growth process takes about five to six months, and it takes about three months to bear fruit. It takes a little longer to grow zucchini in a greenhouse in winter than to grow it in the open air.

Zucchini growth cycle management

The yield of zucchini per mu is about 1500~5000 kg, and it has different growth and development characteristics at different stages. The seedlings mainly rely on the nutrients stored in the cotyledons of the seeds to grow.

Temperature management: Zucchini grows best in an ambient temperature of 20-25 degrees. Temperatures that are too low or too high may cause the zucchini to grow slowly or even die.

Fertilization management : Zucchini has a strong ability to absorb fertilizer, so it should be fertilized with nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. Generally, for every 1,000 kg of fruit harvested, 3.92 kg of nitrogen, 2.13 kg of phosphorus and 7.29 kg of potassium need to be absorbed.
