Mulberry planting conditions

Fruit mulberry likes an environment with plenty of sunlight. In places with plenty of light, the leaves are small and thick, and the fruits are numerous. If the maintenance environment is dark, the leaves will be yellow and soft, and the plants will be underdeveloped. Fruit mulberry trees are relatively drought-resistant, but the lack of moisture in the soil will affect the quality.

Fruit mulberry prefers a humid environment. The optimum soil moisture content is 70 to 80 percent of the field's maximum water holding capacity. During the fruit ripening period, low air humidity is conducive to the accumulation of sugars and can improve the quality of the fruit, but attention must be paid to irrigation.

Mulberry Planting Climate

When the soil temperature 30 cm underground of the fruit mulberry is higher than 5 degrees, the root system begins to move. When the daily average air temperature is 12 degrees, the winter buds begin to sprout. 25-30 degrees is the most suitable temperature for the growth of fruit mulberry. Usually, when the temperature is higher than 35-40 degrees, it will inhibit the growth of fruit trees. When the temperature is lower than 12 degrees, the growth of fruit mulberry will stop.

Mulberry planting area

Fruit mulberry grows in hills, hillsides, beside villages, fields, forests, etc., and is mostly cultivated artificially. It can be planted throughout China's Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, Heilongjiang, Anhui, Shandong, Xinjiang and other parts of the country, either in the open air, in greenhouses, or in potted plants.

Mulberry planting time

When planting fruit mulberry, it is best to choose spring when the soil is moist after rain. Generally, they are transplanted after the leaves fall in autumn or before budding in spring. After transplanting, pay attention to watering more and do not let the seedlings dry out. Continue until the new branches grow to about half a meter and then enter normal management.
