How long is the growth period of a Bodhi tree?

Introduction to Bodhi Tree Growth

Bodhi trees prefer areas with warm climates and fertile soil. They are distributed in Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Bhutan, Sikkim, Nepal, Pakistan and India, and are mostly cultivated in Guangdong, Guangxi and Yunnan in China.

Bodhi tree growth cycle

Bodhi tree likes light, high temperature and high humidity. It grows rapidly when the ambient temperature is 25 degrees. The wintering temperature needs to be above 12 degrees. It is frost-resistant and has no strict requirements on soil, but it is suitable for planting in fertile, moist, well-drained slightly acidic sandy loam.

It takes about 5 to 6 years for a Bodhi fruit tree to grow and bear fruit, starting from seed propagation.

Bodhi tree growth rate

When planting Bodhi trees, you should choose seeds of good quality. They will germinate and emerge from the soil about 10 days after sowing. When the seeds germinate one after another, uncover the straw covering them and provide appropriate shade. When the plant is 2-4 cm in height, transplant it. At this time, it also needs to be shaded. Water it in the morning and evening, and it will grow stably.

The Bodhi tree grows slowly.

Bodhi tree growth cycle management

Temperature management: The suitable temperature for the growth of Bodhi tree is 15 to 25 degrees. The temperature cannot be too high or too low, so as not to affect its flowering and fruiting. The wintering temperature needs to be above 5 degrees. Therefore, before winter, you can take anti-cold measures in advance.

Fertilization management: In the first three years of the Bodhi tree sapling forest, topdressing can be applied 2-3 times when the rainy season comes, mainly applying compound fertilizer.
