How to propagate purse flowers and how to raise them

How to propagate purse flowers and how to raise them

1. Breeding Methods

1. Seed propagation: The main method of propagation of purse flower is seed propagation. In order to increase the survival rate of sowing, the time can be selected from August to September each year. This period of time is just right for the cool climate and suitable for sowing and propagation. Prepare suitable soil before sowing, which can be made from leaf mold, river sand, or garden soil. Select the seeds carefully and sow them carefully in the soil. Be particularly meticulous during the sowing process. After sowing, cover them with a thin layer of fine sand that just covers the seeds slightly. After sowing, moisten the pot with water and place it in a cool place.

2. Cutting propagation: Cutting method is used a small amount for propagation. It is also necessary to prepare a sand bed first, cut healthy branches for cuttings, and then cover the soil and press lightly, but this method is not commonly used.

2. How to raise

1. Appropriate light: The purse likes light. As long as appropriate sunlight is ensured, the growth of the purse can be promoted. It cannot tolerate strong light, so it should be shaded and kept away from light in summer.

2. Suitable temperature: The purse flower prefers a cool growing environment. The suitable temperature for growth is around 10℃. Pay attention to cooling down in summer and open the windows frequently to ventilate.

3. Water and fertilizer management: Calceolaria prefers a warm and humid environment and needs to be watered frequently to maintain good humidity. Apply decomposed cake fertilizer water once every 10 days during the growing period, and apply additional phosphorus and potassium fertilizers before the flowering period.
