How long is the growth cycle of tea leaves?

Introduction to Tea Growth

The terrain for tea tree cultivation is mainly hills with good drainage conditions, abundant rainfall, a long frost-free period, good light conditions, small annual temperature difference and large temperature difference between day and night. Such climatic conditions are suitable for the growth of various types of tea trees.

Tea growth cycle

Tea is an evergreen shrub with strong adaptability. It has a shelf life, but it depends on the variety of tea. Different teas have different shelf lives. As long as it is stored properly, the quality of the tea can even be improved.

Tea growth rate

When tea enters spring, the buds begin to move, and then the water content increases rapidly, promoting the hydrolysis of various storage substances. The volume of the buds begins to increase to a certain extent, and the scales open. After the first leaf unfolds, 2-7 leaves unfold successively, and then the terminal bud stops growing and forms a stationary bud, and the leaves continue to grow.

Tea can be picked about two months after planting. In most tea-growing areas in my country, under natural growth conditions, tea trees grow and rest three times a year.

Fertilization management: Tea trees have weak growth ability when they are young. The nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium acid ratio should be matched according to the principle of 3:1:2. Apply nitrogen fertilizer liquid every 15 days after 30 days of planting. Apply 3-5 times in a row, and water the trees wetly each time.
