Mango trees can be planted in potted plants. It is recommended to use a larger soil pot and provide it with suitable soil and light. However, in comparison, mango trees are more suitable for ground planting.

Potted mango trees require large flower pots with a diameter of about 25-45 cm and a depth of more than 20 cm. If properly maintained, the plant can bloom and bear fruit.

How to grow mango trees in pots

1. Soil

Mango tree potted plants prefer soil with strong air permeability, which should be loose and fertile. Do not use soil that is too sticky. You can use leaf mold, garden soil, and river sand for preparation.

2. Watering

Mango tree potted plants are very drought-resistant and do not require excessive watering during maintenance, especially during the flower bud differentiation period. The soil needs to be kept dry, but not lacking in water.

3. Lighting

Mango tree potted plants like sunlight and usually need to be placed in a place with sufficient light. They cannot be kept in a dark growing environment for a long time, otherwise the plant will not be able to bear fruit.

4. Temperature

The most suitable growth temperature for mango tree potted plants is 18-35℃, but during the fruiting period, the temperature should be controlled at around 19-24℃, and the temperature of the maintenance environment should not be too low.

5. Pruning

When the mango tree grows to a certain stage, it needs to be pruned from the ground to about 50 cm high as the main trunk, and then pruned, leaving only 2-3 branches as the main branches.
