African Impatiens cultivation methods and precautions

African Impatiens cultivation methods and precautions

1. Suitable temperature

African Impatiens has relatively poor cold resistance, so before the cold winter comes, it needs to be placed indoors for maintenance to prevent frost damage. The best breeding temperature is between 15-25℃. In short, it is relatively worry-free to raise them. In summer, just make sure to keep the plant well ventilated to avoid diseases caused by hot and humid environments.

2. Water appropriately

Regarding watering, just be careful not to allow water to accumulate. It is suitable for growing in slightly moist places. If drought occurs, it will be very bad and it is particularly prone to poor growth. At the same time, it is also afraid of waterlogging, especially during the rainy season, so special attention should be paid to drainage.

3. Pot soil selection

Growing Impatiens does not require high-quality soil, as long as the soil environment is suitable for its growth. Flower lovers can choose soil mainly composed of peat soil, add leaf mold and stir it to prepare it. This kind of soil has the advantages of good air permeability and drainage. Secondly, in order to provide the soil with certain nutrients, it is also possible to add some cake fertilizer.

4. Plenty of sunshine

It will grow stronger in a sunny environment, so it is best to place it in a place where it can see sunlight all day long. Flower lovers are all aware of the problem of high temperatures in summer. Just pay attention to shade and maintain proper ventilation. Even in cold weather like winter, try to provide sufficient light so that it does not grow too tall due to lack of sunlight.

5. Notes

When breeding in winter, the indoor environment should be no less than 12℃, and the room should be properly ventilated to ensure air circulation. If the temperature is particularly high in summer, you need to spray some water on its leaves to keep them moisturized.
