Overwintering greenhouse cultivation is generally transplanted in mid-October, and the harvesting stage begins in January, which can last until mid-July.

How to sow colorful bell peppers

1. Soak the seeds for germination: Before sowing the seeds of colorful bell peppers, soak them in 55-degree warm water and stir constantly. Take them out after ten minutes and soak them in potassium permanganate solution for 10 minutes. After cleaning, put them in gauze for germination. The ambient temperature needs to be between 25 and 28 degrees. They will germinate in 4-5 days and can be sown at this time.

2. Preparation of nutrient soil: Colorful bell peppers like loose and fertile soil. When preparing the soil, you can use non-bacterial field soil and decomposed manure to make a mixed soil. The soil needs to be disinfected before use, covered with film for half a month, then spread in the ridge and irrigated with bottom water.

3. Sowing and transplanting: Sow the seeds into the soil, cover with a 1 cm thick layer of soil, cover with plastic film to keep warm and moist. When the germination rate of the seeds is about 70%, remove the plastic film. When the seedlings grow 2-3 true leaves, they can be transplanted.

It takes about five months for colorful bell peppers to grow from seedlings to maturity. The yield varies slightly depending on the variety, planting location, and planting technique. The yield per mu is generally around 4,000 kilograms.
