The seeds of lilies grow inside the fruits. When the fruits of the plant mature, they will naturally crack and the seeds will fall out. They can then be harvested.

Lilies must be stored carefully. The seeds of the plant should be kept in a low-temperature, dark, ventilated environment, and attention should be paid to preventing insects and moisture. This way, the shelf life of the seeds can be up to 2 years.

What do lily seeds look like?

Lily seeds grow in long oval capsules. The fruit is about 3-4 cm long and the seeds grow inside it. They are not very small and have angular wings. They are dark brown in color and have an uneven surface.

How to plant lily seeds

Lily seeds can be planted in spring and autumn. The best sowing time is between September and October. It takes about 2 months from planting to harvesting.

1. Choose soil: Choose loose, fertile, well-drained soil for planting lily seeds. Soak the seeds in a carbendazim solution for disinfection before planting.

2. Sowing: Sow the processed lily seeds on the soil, then cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil, then wet the soil with a watering can, and wait for the seeds to germinate.
