How to plant Spring Sword

How to plant Spring Sword

1. Choice of soil and flower pots

1. Flower Pots

In order to successfully grow a plant, it is essential to have a suitable flowerpot and substrate, especially when planting a delicate plant like Spring Sword. When choosing a flowerpot, you need to choose a flowerpot of the appropriate size according to the size of the spring sword seedlings. The preferred flower pot is a plastic pot. If there is no plastic pot, you can consider using peat pots and porcelain pots. After choosing a suitable flower pot, you will generally choose to raise the bottom of the flower pot with some bricks. This will facilitate soil ventilation and the breathing of the plant roots after planting.

2. Soil

When choosing soil, you should pay attention to the control of fertility and hardness. The fertility should not be too high and the soil should not be compacted. Relatively loose soil is preferred.

2. How to carry out planting operation

1. Cleaning

Before cultivating Chunjian, the roots and leaves need to be washed with clean water, and some broken roots and diseased roots and leaves need to be removed, leaving only the healthy roots and leaves. After the treatment is completed, the roots need to be soaked in potassium permanganate and water for about a quarter of an hour.

2. Transplantation

When planting in a pot, you need to pay attention to evenly distribute the roots of the spring sword in the pot. Remember not to touch the wall of the pot, which will affect the normal growth of the roots. First, fix the spring sword seedling with your hand, you can lift it slightly, and then add soil and some substrate to the pot with your other hand. After filling, use your hand to pat the soil around the stem to make it firm. Finally, water it for the first time. Be sure to water the soil thoroughly until you see water flowing out from the bottom of the pot.

3. How to maintain after planting

After planting, you need to be careful to avoid exposing the spring sword to direct sunlight. Moderate light is enough. You can choose to expose it to sunlight for a few hours in the morning or evening every day. Secondly, it is best not to apply too much fertilizer to the spring sword planted in the same year. In the second year, you can apply a small amount of nitrogen fertilizer to help the seedlings grow healthily.
