After collecting the betel nut seeds, they need to be placed in a ventilated place to dry. After they are dry, they need to be put in a paper bag and then placed in a dry and ventilated place for storage and collection.

Betel nut seed planting

Betel nut seeds have a ripening period and can be harvested between ripe fruits. Spread the betel nut seeds out in the sun for 5-7 days until the peel is slightly dry. After they are fully ripe, they can be germinated. Put the seeds in a woven bag and place them in a cool place. Water them once in the morning and evening for 15-20 days. Wait until the peel is soft, rinse it with clean water and then germinate it.

Choose a slightly shady place, make a seedbed 130 cm wide and 10 cm high, spread a layer of river sand on the bottom, place the cleaned betel nut fruit stems upwards, maintain a 3 cm row spacing, cover with 3 cm of soil after planting, cover with straw to keep warm and moist, water once a day, and the betel nut seeds will begin to germinate after a month.
