Water spinach is an annual herb. The best time to sow it is in March in spring. If it is in a greenhouse, it can be earlier to February. The growth cycle is between 35-45 days. If properly maintained, it only takes 4 days from sowing to germination.

How to plant water spinach seeds

1. Soil preparation: Water spinach likes fertile, breathable sandy loam. If you want to grow it in potted plants, you can prepare it yourself and apply a certain amount of organic fertilizer to the soil.

2. Soak seeds for germination: The seed coat of water spinach seeds is relatively hard. Before planting, they should be soaked in warm water, then wrapped in moist gauze and placed in an environment of 30°C for germination.

3. Planting: Dig a small hole in the soil, put the seeds in, cover with soil and water, and wait for the seeds to germinate.
