The growth of black peanuts goes through several stages including germination and seedling stage, flowering and needle-setting stage, pod-setting stage, and full fruit stage. The plants are mostly planted in March or May and mature between July and October.

The growth process of black peanuts

1. Germination and seedling stage: From the sowing of black peanuts to the opening of the first flower, it lasts about 20-35 days.

2. Flowering and needle-setting period: From the flowering of black peanuts to the appearance of chicken-head-shaped young fruits, it lasts about 15-35 days and requires careful maintenance during this period.

3. Pod-setting period: From the appearance of chicken-head-shaped young fruits of black peanuts to the growth of 50% full fruits, it takes about 20-40 days, and a large number of fruit needles will be buried in the soil during this period.
