How to grow chrysanthemum

Kalanchoe, also known as daisy, belongs to the Asteraceae family. When propagating it, various methods are generally used, such as division, cutting, grafting, and sowing. When it is cultivated indoors, the division propagation method is generally used.

When caring for chrysanthemum, loose and well-drained soil is generally used. It must be exposed to sufficient sunlight at normal times, otherwise it will not be able to bloom. The temperature must be kept between 15-25 degrees. In winter, the temperature cannot be lower than 5 degrees, otherwise it will affect its growth.

Watering method

Chrysanthemum prefers a humid growing environment. When caring for it, it needs to be watered every three days, and it must be watered thoroughly, but water accumulation must be avoided. Water needs to be reduced in winter.

Fertilization method

Chrysanthemums need to be fertilized in appropriate amounts at normal times. During the peak growth period, they should generally be fertilized every 10 days. You can use a thin compound fertilizer, which will make it grow more luxuriantly.

Pruning methods

When caring for chrysanthemum, it is necessary to pinch off the top of the chrysanthemum, remove the young buds on the top, and at the same time cut off some weak branches and old branches.

Precautions for growing chrysanthemum

When growing chrysanthemums, you need to pay attention to the fact that there must be sufficient sunlight at normal times, and the light must be evenly distributed, otherwise it will affect its ornamental effect. In summer, it needs appropriate shade and a good ventilation environment.
