How to care for Michelia before it blooms

1. Specific period

This plant will bloom from March to May, so before March is its early flowering period.

2. Specific methods

(1) Temperature: If you want it to bloom, the temperature must be guaranteed. Because the temperature is relatively low in the early stage of its flowering, in order to ensure its flowering, we'd better raise the temperature to promote its flowering.

(2) Light: This plant prefers to grow in semi-shady conditions. However, this is the time when it is about to bloom, so proper light is indispensable. We can place it in places such as balconies where it can receive diffuse light. If the light is not particularly strong, there is no need to block the light. Doing this will allow its flowers to bloom better.

(3) Fertilizer: Flowering requires a lot of nutrients. Sometimes the nutrients that can be absorbed from the soil are not enough. It is best to supplement them in advance. In order to promote flowering, we can apply some fertilizers containing more P elements.
