Angelica growth environment conditions and characteristics

Angelica growth environment conditions and requirements

Angelica is a perennial herb and a long-day plant. It can generally be grown at an altitude of 1.5-3 kilometers. In most cases, Angelica prefers to grow in low temperatures and cool climates.

Angelica growth temperature

Angelica likes a cool environment, is afraid of heat, and cannot withstand high temperatures. Generally, the optimum temperature for Angelica's growth is around 20-30 degrees. It will grow faster in an environment of 20-24 degrees. Angelica seeds will germinate only when the ambient temperature is above 10 degrees.

Angelica growth humidity

Angelica likes a humid environment. Its requirements for water and humidity during its growth period are relatively strict. Generally, you can water it more when the climate is relatively dry. When the soil is not very dry, you don’t need to water it too much. In addition, it is best to drain more during the rainy season.

Soil for growing angelica

Angelica likes slightly acidic soil. It is generally more suitable to be planted in deep, loose, well-drained and fertile sandy loam. When planting, you can also add a little more humus to the soil, so that it will grow better.

Angelica growth cycle and process

The growth cycle of angelica is about two years. Generally, the first year after planting is the seedling period of angelica. After that, fresh angelica can be harvested in the autumn of the second year, and the seeds of angelica can be left for the next year.
