Environmental conditions and characteristics of morning glory growth

Morning glory growth environment conditions and requirements

Morning glory is relatively resistant to drought and saline-alkali, and is not afraid of high temperatures and scorching heat. It is a deep-rooted plant and the soil should be deep when planted in the ground. It is widely cultivated throughout my country. Morning glory is a common climbing herb in summer and autumn, which means that the climate at this time is most suitable for its growth. At this time, it can be used to provide shade in small courtyards and in front of room windows, to beautify small sheds and fences, and can also be used as ground cover.

Morning glory growth temperature

The suitable growth temperature for morning glory is 22-34℃. If the temperature exceeds 34 degrees, it will stop growing. If the temperature is below 7 degrees, it will go dormant.

Morning glory growth humidity

The suitable growth humidity for morning glory is about 50-70%. During the cultivation process, avoid excessive moisture in the substrate. If water accumulates in the pot for a long time, the roots will often rot, and the whole plant will wilt and die. Therefore, when watering, do not water unless the soil is dry, and water thoroughly when watering.

Morning glory growing soil

Morning glory has strong adaptability to soil and is relatively resistant to drought and salinity. It grows best in fertile, well-drained soil. When cultivating the soil, keep the soil surface dry.

Morning glory growth cycle and process

Morning glory blooms in summer. Its flowers open one after another in May. Under normal circumstances, it can live for more than 2 years. If the environment is suitable, it can live for 4-5 years. On the contrary, if the environment is harsh, morning glory may die within a few months.

The growth process of morning glory is mainly divided into four stages:

The first stage: Plant the seeds, and they will grow roots in about three days;

The second stage: fresh leaves grow;

The third stage: its stem will become a twining stem;

The fourth stage: After about 40 days, it will bloom and bear fruit 15 days after flowering.
