Coconut tree growth environment conditions and requirements

Coconut tree is a tropical light-loving crop that mainly grows in tropical and subtropical regions. It prefers a high temperature, rainy and sunny growing environment and generally grows well in areas below 200 meters above sea level.

Coconut tree growth temperature

The most suitable growth temperature for coconut trees is 15-30℃. The plant has high requirements for temperature and has very poor cold resistance. It is not suitable for growing in northern regions. The annual average temperature of the planting site must be above 25℃.

Coconut tree growth humidity

Coconut trees have relatively high requirements for growth humidity and the plant needs a lot of water. The air humidity between 80-90% is most suitable for the growth of coconut trees. When it is lower than 60%, it will grow poorly.

Coconut tree growing soil

Coconut trees do not have high requirements for soil and can grow in sandy loam, gravel soil, and clay, but river bank alluvial soil is still the best, and the groundwater level should be around 100-250 cm.

Coconut tree growth cycle and process

The growth cycle of a coconut tree is about 12 months. The coconut seedlings grown from the plant are developed from the old coconut fruit. The plant begins to take root when it grows 4-5 leaves. If there is sufficient water, the plant will continue to grow. When the trunk grows to 20-30 meters, it will bear fruit.
